We do wedding video right!
| |
(Turn on your speakers and we'll read this page to you.) Your wedding video - one of the most important purchases you'll make in your lifetime! Nothing will rekindle the flame and bring back the emotions, the laughter, the tears and mostly the warm, happy feelings of love, like a great wedding video!
There are big wedding video production studios in places like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City that will bring a talented, experienced team of two videographers with three 3CCD, 1-Lux professional camcorders and half a dozen or more wireless microphones, a professional digital recorder, plus whatever else it takes to produce a great wedding video for you. Then they'll spend up to a week editing your video on the most powerful, latest computers using all the fantastic tools of video editing like Adobe's Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore, Audition and Serious Magic's "Ultra".
Of course, they charge upwards of five to fifteen thousand dollars for all that, but isn't it worth it for a video that captures the magic of a once-in-a-lifetime memory?
Do you wish you could hire a service like that, but at Oklahoma rates? Then you've come to the right place! Please check our Plans and Options and choose the package that will work best for your wedding. Then, pay only $99 to reserve your date and only half the balance before your wedding. Don't pay the final half until you've reviewed and approved your beautifully edited wedding video. For even more convenience, check out our installment plans.
What will your wedding video include and how do we operate? After registering with us, we'll send you a link and a login to your "My Info" web page. On this page, you'll fill out all the information we'll need to produce a great wedding video for you.
We'll spend up to one hour at your wedding rehearsal. We'll make sure everything will go smoothly on your wedding day. We nearly always catch things that could have caused problems for your wedding video and we often catch other little problems too.
On your wedding day, we'll arrive nearly two hours early (only one hour charged) to shoot exterior and interior shots of your chapel or church. The "clock" starts on the remaining time when we begin to video your preparations. Jean goes with the bride and bridesmaids to discreetly capture their activity, while Bill goes with the groom and groomsmen.
Thirty minutes before the ceremony, we place wireless microphones on the groom, the minister and the father of the bride. If there will be any other speakers, we'll place microphones where they'll be standing, or we'll put a wireless mic on them if that is more appropriate. All vocalists and musical instruments will be properly mic'd, even if it's going through the house sound system (we don't trust other people's sound systems to have the quality of our gear). As a backup, we do connect a professional digital recorder to the house sound system, and record everything that goes through the system.
Many other videographers won't tell you this but any sound that doesn't have a microphone within twenty-four inches or less is not going to be picked up clearly. Other videographers may not want to talk about that because good wireless microphones are expensive and many don't want to invest in several sets of them.
And why do we use three camcorders? Sometimes we even use four! It makes for a better video in several ways. For one thing, we're all TV and movie watchers and we've been spoiled by shows that use three or more cameras and multiple microphones. That's one of the reasons its so easy to tell a home video from a professional production.
Having that third camcorder means we don't have to worry about it holding a shot. We are free to seek those great little moments that can make a video so special.
And we don't use just any camcorders - we use professional 3CCD Sony VX2100s with a Lux rating of one. That low Lux rating means you'll get great colors and clear video even in dimly lit chapels and reception halls. There are lots of fine camcorders, but when the lights get low, only the Sony VX2100 and PD170 stand out.
We've talked a little about videoing the preceremony - opening scenes, preparations, guests arriving and so forth. Then, we'll record the entire ceremony using at least three video cameras and two camera operators. After the ceremony, there's usually a photo session. This is a great time to make sure that all friends and family are caught on the video. We often catch some touching casual moments during this time, just like in the pre-ceremony.
We usually put your pre-ceremony and your photo session to music. If you have any music preferences for these, send us the CD or files - but please be sure you don't use music that will be used for your first dance or elsewhere in the ceremony or reception. You don't want to have the same song twice in your video!
After the photo session, we move on to the reception. We'll get there ahead of you so we can record the decorations, your entrance and all the events of the reception including cake cutting, special dances, bouquet and garter toss and so on. We'll also video greetings from friends and family. If the video plan you choose isn't long enough for the entire reception, we'll suggest a faux exit for your video. That way we can wrap things up while your party continues.
We cap off your production with three to five full days of editing with all the latest computer hardware and software.
